Deaton Funeral Home was previously established as the Bob Gabbard Funeral Home in 1964. Alfred Ray Deaton, Jr. became owner of the funeral home on July 1, 1984 and name was changed to Deaton Funeral Home at that time. At his death on 11-22-2008, Alfred’s son, Jason Paul Deaton, continued to operate the funeral home.
